I've never felt a large sense of obligation (obviously) to blog consistently. However, I have felt completely uninspired to blog about anything on The Mobius Strip for two months. The Mobius Strip, for the most part, has been a collection of photos from trips and gatherings with friends, lighthearted commentary, some math humor, and some other ridiculous things. That's how I want The Mobius Strip to be remembered. I don't want to taint it with any more emotional or heartfelt words than are already here. What I'm really saying is that it may be time for The Mobius Strip to be over, archived. I feel my blogging going in a different direction.
So... I'm pretty sure I'm going to start a new blog... and I'm positive there will be humorous things on it at times... and there will continue to be pictures of friends and family and animals (maybe even some sheep if I have anything to say about it)... But I feel as if I'm starting a new chapter of my life... and it feels different... not necessarily better or worse... just different... new... maybe a little more sober somehow... and I don't even know if I know what I really mean when I say "sober."
... and blah blah blahda blah blah blah... thus the reason for a new blog. I don't yet know what the name of the new blog's gonna be or when my first entry will be. It might be tomorrow, but it might not be. I'll somehow get the word out to all three people who are reading this.

Initially Intriguing Qualities
Have you ever crossed paths with an intriguing person... like a random person who you might never see again but wish you could be friends with him/her... or at least know a little more of his/her story? That happened to me this last weekend... but unfortunately it wasn't at a place where it would have been socially appropriate for me to corner this person and ask her 57 questions about her life and how she arrived at the place she is now.
If I get the feeling that someone has arrived where they are by an unusual route or through atypical circumstances, I'm usually intrigued. If someone appears to love sarcasm and have a dry sense of humor or has an underlying mischievous but mostly harmless streak, I'm usually intrigued.
So... I'm curious... When you first meet someone who you think is an especially interesting or intriguing person, what are the qualities you see in that person that make them interesting to you? Is it a unique sense of humor? Is it the fact that the person stands on the fringe of the crowd and appears to enjoy watching everyone else? Is it an unusual amount of kindness?
